Hi everyone we posted a pic of this really sexy rose tattoo by Trevor and someone reported it as offensive. As a result facebook removed the image, citing it as offensive. The post actually got 350 likes and over 50 shares. I guess not everyone was offended by it and actually appreciated the sexiness of it. I know the guys did. I suppose once you enter the realm of facebook you are forced to follow their laws and standards, which is fine when it comes to violence and bullying. One must understand that facebook is not in a position to police every image that’s uploaded, so they depend on the users to report the offenses. And report they do. I personally find that if you do not like tattoos, body art and sexy images then you should not like any of those pages. But with the newsfeed you can see a ‘friend’ who likes the image and thus pass your judgement from that angle. I say if you are offended by it you don’t have to view it.

One must ask what is offensive? Is the naked body really offensive? Is showing only a section of the body an offense? If so, which section? Is the piece of art offensive? The image in question showed the tattoo in an area near to the vagina. Some time ago we posted another pic of a girl’s naked back for a photo shoot we did and that was ok. Both images can be considered sensual and sexy. Well I guess once the conservative zealots get together everything is considered vile and offensive (see images below and judge for yourself) I will make the point that some images we do not post because of taste issues rather than the fear of offending people. Some things are better left private. As a company we decide what is posted which is our right.

Sadly these questions won’t be answered here or in the near future. Television and movies have battled these questions and standards for years. Blood and gore have been considered accepted and nudity and sex as taboo. One can recall the infamous Janet Jackson nipple incident from the super bowl.

So if you are interested in getting a sensual tattoo then don’t let the judgement of others stop you. If one thing in life is certain, theĀ religiousĀ folk will always be around to judge us all.

Let me first say that I am not offended by any of the photos. next i will say that I am a very religious person. religious ppl are not the only type of ppl that would have a problem with the pic and in making that distinction the writer is no different than the person(s) he is reprimanding. artists will see the value and beauty in the piece of work and not even notice that he vagina is peeking out. While others would not appreciate this and only see a sexy naked lady. the latter will both like and dislike the pic for the same reason. My coach always told me to do one thing at a time less risk of making a mistake. If you had covered up the little bit a vagina peeking out then it would be all about the ART. Its beautiful tho… good work

is that’s what’s bothering you? please, don’t ever let a vagina scare you, that too is a work of art from the Master Himself, but to have an artist’s work band is just as offensive as giving him or her the finger…. how about you band the people responsible for crushing the little leather-back turtles

i distinctly said it didn’t bother me, Maurice dear. I am just sharing my opinion on the comments in the post and y some ppl would not see the art in it. Note also…I said it was beautiful. #angry much

btw. what did u do to save the turtles? u don’t know me or the causes I defend or if I am an artist too.

are u one of those hypocritical ppl that do nothing and indiscriminately tell everybody what they should have done? smh

let me start off by saying that i am a ‘religious’ person as well in that i pray everyday, attend church, and search for a deeper meaning from life and try to live a life as close to God as possible. i certainly have not always been that way. having said that, i hasten to add that i have SIX tattoos and am now contemplating a SEVENTH, hence my being on this website to begin with, as it was recommended by a coworker. my love for tattoos comes not only out of my love for the art of it or its intricate beauty but it is also the way i choose to immortalize memories. most often when i get a tattoo, something life changing has happened in my life. so in my view, when you claim to be religious, you also MUST know that you choose not to judge people for their own choices and to also to show respect. #thatisall

I cant believe people are so stupid, this tat is de bomb. Some people have a bad misconception about tattoos, i have thirteen and i dont intend to stop anytime soon, i love them. They are an expression of me.
